Am I to understand NVIDIA in that the latest drives fully support dual monitors using a GeForce 2MX card under Win 98 and Win2K? Seperate refresh rates and resolutions? The only hitch in the white papers was that statement of a second ramdec chip...do these cards already have one? I want to get rid of my g400 and g200 setup.

I've been sniffing around the same questions.

As for the need for the second Ramdac, remember that Nvidia makes the chipset, and a reference card, but not the cards for sale. So card makers might or might not put on a second Ramdac.

The only card that I can clearly establish supports two CRT/RGB monitors is made by Inno3d. These guys sell them. Found via various pricewatch searches until something worked. Pricewatch listed the price $10 lower last I looked. Probably can talk them down to the pricwatch price.

Most of the MX boards are sold with TV out as their second monitor. Why there hasn't appeared a bigger market for the 2nd monitor out, a la the Matrox 400/450 cards, is a mystery to me.

I'm specifically looking at the Leadtek WinFast GeForce2 MX DH Pro. It has two vga conectors and appears to be able to run just like dual video cards. There are a couple of reviews I've found that praise this card. I actually found some in stock at sg3d.com for $133. Decisions, decisions decisions......

I have a Gainward Cardex MX twin-view. It's very good. One thing I can say about twin-view though is that the ramdac for the second VGA port leaves alot to be desired. Start bumping it up to higher resolution/refresh rates like 1152*864/100Hz and the quality gets poor. The text fades, picture gets blurry, etc. The primary output looks great though.

I hear this is pretty much the case on all the twin-view cards.
