Hi,
I own a Asus V7100, and use it under Windows 2000 + SP2.
At first, I used the 6.31 drivers, but these are rather slow in comparison with newer. The 6.50 drivers give some problems with stability. Therefore, I tried both the 10.80 and 12.00 drivers, which are a lot faster and perfectly stable. Now I have the following problem:

I can't get my monitor to run at anything higher than 75 Hz with those newer drivers (while with the 6.** drivers, I can easily hit 100 Hz at 1280x1024, my monitor is good enough).

Looking at:
Display properties -> Advanced -> Adapter -> List all modes
All modes are shown, but even in 640x480 I can't get higher than 75 Hz.
Any suggestions of how to change this? With Powerstrip maybe?

Thanks for reading.

As mentioned in the other post, you should be able to uncheck/check the option that hides display modes, thereby allowing you to pick any mode you like, remember to use caution and have your monitor manual specs right next to you.

I use the right .inf file for my monitor, but my monitor is able to handle better resolutions than my videocard (at least: according to Windows...), so there's no way to uncheck the checkbox.
Maybe I should wait until newer reference drivers (in the case nvidia still makes them...).

Windows is talking drivvel there, I don't know any monitors that can handle high resolutions than a graphics card can put out. The only was I could see that having a chance of happening would be combining a 21" triniton screen with a 1mb ISA card!

I have found that newer drivers does not always mean better, try a few different ones.

Thanks for the help, I'll download and try some newer drivers that will hopefully resolve the problem.
