Geforce 2 with ultrawide sxga

I just bought the 1600sw, with multilink and when I connect it to my computer it runs correctly using 800 by 600 and 1280 by 1024, but if I run it at 1600 by 1024 (its native resolution) it leaves black lines on the sides (it running at the wrong aspect ratio). Any suggestions, I am running it of a v7700 deluxe (geforce 2 (Asus)) using the asus drivers if that helps.

Pretty sure it's a monitor problem.

What do you mean by monitor problem? I am 99% sure that it is software related, because everytime I boot into windows it resets to 800 by 600, even though it can definitely do 1280 by 1024 perfectly fine, and can kind of do 1600 by 1024. I am not sure if it is the drivers for the graphics card, or if it is windows itself, but I doubt that it is the monitor.

Reply isnt anyone using the 1600sw in win2k with a nvidia based card.
