GeForce 2 Ti system hang

IGBT

Lifer
Tried installing 64 meg GeForce 2 Ti in a 950 mhz.slot 1 Athlon. M7MKE mbo. 640 megs ram 40 gig wd.hd. dvd/cdrw. Desktop fails to load and the computer hangs in hour glass mode. Can move the pointer...but thats all. Can't shut down from "start". Have to do a warm reset. Same response from 2nd GeForce in same computer. Returned 32 meg card to computer and everything works fine. Any thoughts on this? Tried reducing ram to 512 meg.with no change. :|

Drivers are suspect..thanks. I'am using the supplied drivers disk so who knows...tried on another m7mke biostar syst.of similar config.and still fails. Wondering if it's a motherboard thing. But both syst.are fine w/their 32meg vid.cards. The later biostar is using a radeon 32 meg ddr vid.card. So I don't know...

Did you try rebooting in safe mode which loads basic VGA drivers? You should try the latest dets, if it will boot in safe mode install them there.

Tried the GeForce 2 Ti in yet another biostar m7mke and they work. The 3rd biostar is using the mob audio where the other two biostars have a monster 400 sound card and a utobia dvd hardware card. So mabe the problem is a compatability issue with the pci cards?? But the video cards do work after all. So mabe I'll try removing the dvd hrd.ware card and see what happens?? The saga continues...😕
