As the titles say, I currently have an old, crappy graphics card. It seems like solid colors are the monitor, especially darks, are a little flickery. There is almost a visable static. Will this go away once I get my X800 XT PE with DVI output? Or is it a flawed monitor that needs to be RMAed?

It's probably the GF2. A lot of GF2's used very cheap RAMDAC filters, and DVI was in it's infant stage as well.

Try the analog connection, perhaps, on that GF2. It should be blurry, but not flickery.

If you can, try to test out the monitor on another machine; if not, I'd wait for the X800 XT.
