geforce 2 pro vs ultra

Whats the ultra have that pro doesnt besides bandwidth? If the pro can be overclocked to ultra speeds then what has the ultra performed? Is it worth getting the ultra and overclocking it or just get the pro? Money really isnt the reason for the question, just figuring on efficiency.
 
Well, you'd be surprised what the Ultra can do.
Besides the bandwith, it has faster memory, and a much higher clock speed,
not only that, but you can overclock the ultra (in some cards) to almost 600Mhz (DDR quivalent)
(in other words, thats HELLA FAST)

I myself run a GeForce II Ultra, and if you find the Drivers you like, you'll smoke any Geforce Pro on the market.

From what I understand it's just the speed that differs.

Ultra 250/450
Pro 200/400

I've had my Pro up to 245/453 & it's fast.My score with my P3 1010mhz. was smack dab in the middle of several Ultra scores. Of course then you can take the Ultra up higher as well.

With the Pro selling for $150.00 & the Ultra around $240.00 kinda hard to justify the dollar/performance ratio.

I think the smart money is on the Pro or Geforce3 much bigger performance difference there.
 
Yeah I agreed with k0w,The different is the speed and memory capability.GeForce2 Ultra have more than 450Mhz memory.I changed 4 video cards on my pc in 8 months.I tried GeForce 2 GTS 32MB,GeForce2 Pro Tornado 64MB and finally I use Ultra.Ultra is the best in Geforce 2 family and some features beat even Geforce 3.I reccomend u guys to get ultra instead of pro coz not much different in prices.I got a real great deal when i bought Ultra.It's $165 new oem with tv out and driver.It works perfectly on every 3d game....like Alice,serious sam and NOLF.😎
 
Sorry....I got that from my friends.He dun want me to show even the name of the card coz he's working with that company.I got 5 Geforce 2 pro 64MB with 110 each and sold out in ebay.He sell out those cards only to friends and without profit.
