whats the best Geforce 2 Pro, Someone said the MSI was crap 2d, is there a roundup of these anywhere on the web? thanks for ur time

Gee that must have been me. I should correct my statment since the Star Force 822 is fine in the 2d display. The Msi,Leadtech, Creative cards Geforce 1 and 2 cards have a crappy 2d display, Elsa/ Herculease/ Asus Geforce cards have a better 2d display because they use a higher quality rfi filters on their cards. Good luck finding a review shoot out on the 2d quality of Geforce cards.

Is it the Starforce 822? Mine says Starforce 815 Pro and it has the GF2 Pro core and the 64MB DDR...

No the Star Force 8831 is the GF2 Pro with 64 ram, The SF 822 is a GF 3 card.

The Starforce 815 Pro is also a 64 meg Geforce 2 Pro

The 8820 sure was a pro card MSI 8820 Link Anyways I did not come here to debate all the MSI cards. I have use the entire MSI SF line in alot of builds. They OC decent and are cheap in price. They do lack in the 2d quality compared to the Asus/ Elsa GF cards. You dont see much of a difference untill you pass the 1024x768 rez and anything higher the 2d quality degrades really bad.

Ive got a Leadtek GF2 Pro, 2d looks pretty sharp on mine.

I have a question, what are the model's or names of the Else and Asus Geforce Pro's, the asus doesn't seem to have a Pro series? They named it different, hrm..

Also at newegg , where i'm getting most my stuff for my new build... they dont have the asus or the elsa pro's... anybody got a good site with good price on these? Since i do not know the model's , i cant use pricewatch.

I dont think Asus made a Pro card but they have a GF 2 GTS 64 Meg card and Newegg and Mwave carry them.
