Geforce 2 PCI card problems. need help!

hello

Recently a co-worker purchased 2x Geforce 2 Mx/Mx 2 (somethin like that) 64 mb PCI video cards. i installed the 1st one no problem. he felt confident he could do the 2nd one after watching me do it, and failed. i yanked it out of that system, and put it in the system i had installed the other card (the one just like it) in. It picked it up fine, and no problems. I put it back in the orrigional system, went into device manager, and all it says is that the video card is a "standard PCI slot video card" or something like that, i can't remember. i tried to install the video card drivers, and it gave me a error message saying something like "There is no Geforce PCI video card detected". i have no idea what to do from here, and i need help as soon as possible.

thankx!

try the following:
with video card installed use the REMOVE part of "add/remove hardware"
reboot.
hope that "plug-n-pray" works.
