geforce 2 mx vs voodoo 3500?

which is better? my friend wants to trade me his gf 2mx for my voodoo 3500...should i do it?

probably about the same, does the mx have HW T&L? but the 3500 is like an ATI AIW card, way more features than mx. the features would probably make me take the 3500 over the geforce2mx, plus i think the 3500 is worth more on ebay and stuff

Is it an MX200? If not, then the MX should be considerably faster in pretty much any game, not to mention it has full support for things like 32bit color, Dot3, CubeMaps, Hard T&L and trilinear filtering to name a few. It should give you better performance and IQ in most games released in the last three years.

Unless you play Glide based games, the mx will be faster.

Also don't forget the ongoing driver support for the MX, unlike the Voodoo.

after 3dfx died, a number of hard core 3dfxrs continued driver development, they now have the driver source codes and are working to make even better drivers. the drivers out now are quite good imo, grab them here. but i think you have to install the 3dfx multimedia stuff seperatley.
