Geforce 2 MX issue?

Anybody have any problems with geforce 2mx on a kt266a motherboard?? i am not sure if its the card or what.. but here is some info

win2k (clean install) thereafter installed the via 4in1
and then installed directx 8.0 and the installed the detentor drivers 21.38 or something...
geforce 2 mx
80gig 7200 rpm wd
philips acoustic edge sound card
netgear nic


here is my problem, or my room mate reporting to me.... he said he was playing half life, and the computer just froze.. the game didn't crash but froze. i am ommitting heating problem because my temp seem to rise to only 45ºC with a amd 1.4ghz stock speed

I don't beleive there are any issues with the via 266, but I would check the manufacturer bios update site and see if they have any problemss. Unless it happens a lot though, 1 crash is not a issue, it could very well be a AOG or some app in the background causing the crash.
