When I run counterstrike in win2k I cant surpass 60 fps no matter what I try. Somone told me it was a thing with win2k. Is there a fix for this. Any help is appreciated.

I may be mistaken here, hell I could just be plain mis-informed - which would lead to the former I'm sure - But can you get more than 60FPS in half life? & Would you even notice?

Yeah other guys playing counterstrike hit 72, 80, etc. I doubt you would notice the difference but I just want to see what the comp will do. When you OC your processor you cant tell that big of a difference I just did it to say I am in the 4 digit range :)

Is vsync enabled? Cause when it is, your frame rate doesn't go over your refresh rate.

disableing v-sync is great if your into screen tearing, unfortunalty you have to do it on geforce cards becuase its choppy if you don't. your frame-rate maxes at 60fps and you hit some realy bad lows now and again. but, any true hardcore gamer doesn't belive in v-sync anyway:)

guys if i'm not mistaken there is a fps_max XXX setting.

"From Tweak3d.net - This is the new all-in-one framerate limiter CVAR for the new Half-Life. This affects LAN, Internet and Single player play modes. Due to the fact that setting this high will no longer create lag, I'd suggest that users set this to its maximum value of 100."

I have this setting in my CS config.cfg, I have mine capped at 72FPS. that maybe why your not seeing a higher fps.
