GeForce 2 Go vs. Mobile Radeon

Which is the more powerful laptop GPU?

The GF2 Go is more powerful then the Mobile Radeon, but the Mobile Radeon consumes less battery time then the GF2 Go.
The Mobility Radeon7500 core is more powerful then either of the above however, but it's as yet been utilized in very few laptops.

nVidia also has a new laptop chip coming out, but it'll be a few months at best until we actually see it debuting in laptops available for resale.

The new mobility Radeon7500 64mb ddr just came out for the Dell laptops. It should perform much faster than the Geforce2Go. But some people may shy away from it because of ATI's driver issues (or is it a non-issue now??). But then again, Geforce2Go and Dell'x XP Inspiron systems are doing so well either, its been a known issue, multiple BSODs, not very stable at all. For W2K its ok, but a bit slow. Works best on *gulp* WinME

About the regular Radeon mobility, the 32mb DDR Geforce2Go is the better pick.

Interesting, I wasnt aware Dell had pciked up the Mobility Radeon7500 as an option for their lapops yet, hopefully Dell remembers to use the correct processors this time as they had quite a few upset customers with their incessent desire to 'accidentally' use desktop processors in their Inspiron 8100 series of notebooks.

Their not available as separate upgradeable graphics chips, their only available with a new laptop. You very seldom see a laptop with upgradeable graphics.

I know that from DELL forums that guys have actually replaced the old video card in their 8000 Inspiron with the newer Geforce2Go without a hitch. I'm thinking perhaps with the 8100, the motherboard is the same, the connector is the same and they just swap between the Geforce2Go and the Radeon Mobility 7500....

The Geforce2Go is a removable module, I'm sure of that because I've looked at it before.
