Geforce 1 DDR 2D Quality, will it be enough?

I just ordered a Sony CPD-G400 and was wondering if the Geforce1 DDR would be able to handle the high resolutions/refresh rates. Or is it time to get that Radeon to ensure the picture is nice at 1600x1200 at 85Hz?

If you are running only on 2D at that res / refresh it should be alright.
