Called my sister tonight about something and we got talking about my nephew's birthday. She was wanting my help in getting a 360 for him and setting it up so he and my son could play online with each other. Well, now she doesn't need my help anymore because a neighbor offered my sister the Wii, controllers, and games that the neighbor's kids don't play with anymore for a mere $150.

not really... ebay typically sells used wii's for $180 this time of year. The games are a different story but they're probably cheap games.

edit: looking at my stats, $180 isn't typical but it happens frequently.

Ignore Casio (like always) that's a fantastic deal. Those controllers are pretty expensive and the games would be anywhere from $30-$50 new. I'm jealous as well now and I haven't even been looking for a wii

I guess you haven't been looking hard enough because used wiis on ebay and craigslist are sold by the thousands for great prices this time of year in this economy.

my nephew came to visit the other day and he was playing the Wii that I had bought. Before he left, I just packed it up and gave it to him for free....I hardly play it and have a PS3 to keep me busy. Kid was soooo happy

Pics of what??? His sister didn't walk into a store seeing that price, it was a quick deal made in person. Not sure what the hell you want pics of... pretty dumb request. At first I thought it was just the resident AT village idiot who was crapping in the thread, but then I read this post.

Well, to be honest, its not that good of a deal. That's pretty much what it'd be worth to me anyways.

There's someone around here that thinks a Wii is still worth $300, Wii Fit $100, and Mario Kart $60. I ditched my Wii back in like April for a little less than I paid for it. I've been wanting to get a 360 again. Someone I worked with back in high school said I could have his old one (DVD drive stopped reading discs), although I don't know if he still has it since he mentioned it back at the beginning of summer (I haven't been back home since then). I figure $99 to get the drive replaced wouldn't be bad even for an early 360. If not, I'll probably jump on the $199 Arcade (or nab a used one on the forums). I can get by without the HDD for a while as the games I really want to play are Live Arcade (I have a bunch to catch up on, and also Castle Crashers coming out soon).

You really think the OP would post about his sister getting a good deal to get attention on an Internet forum? Queasy is one of the most respected members of this (console gaming) forum. They let us pick our own moderator, and we picked him. He doesn't need to brag a deal his sister got to get attention.

Obviously the person who sold the Wii either didn't know they could get more money for it or didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to sell it to someone they don't know.

What we're trying to say is that, based on his posts on this forum, we have no reason not to believe him. Chill out.
