Geez.... I made some changes in my Bios settings....

.... and now things are running slower. 🙁

I put the newest bios in my system, and adjusted some settings so as not to burn things up in my computer, and now I'm getting slower times.

Boot up says 1750 MHz.... FSB 333.... but the Seti WU times are around 4 hours per unit.

Gonna have to look at things a bit to try to gain the time back. If I don't, I might not make my 1000 WUs by the end of the program.

burn things up??? :Q Rule of thumb is crank everything up as far as it will go until locking up and then back off 1. Certainly don't have to worry about burning anything up. Only time there may be a problem is from a Power Supply that can't cut the mustard, then time for a new better one.

Check the CAS latency of your RAM, it can make a big difference. Set it to 2 if you can run stable that way.

True, not all settings going up is fastest, in the case of Memory going down is fastest.

With my Asus A7V266-e I once updated the bios to what at the time was the latest bios ,despite me setting all the RAM timings back as they were I lost a huge amount of memory bandwidth !🙁 (according to SiSoft Sandra anyway).I never bothered to try running SETI on it I just flashed the original bios back on & stuck with it ever since.
I suppose I could try the latest version.

I agree, just because it is the latest BIOS, does not mean it is the best. Try to flash back to what you had and see if that gets you back up to speed.
