Geez, I can't find a download manager that works!

I tried Go!Zilla, which was great for awhile, but they came out with a new version that really sucked. And, I have to pay apparently to get the old one.

I tried, Download Accelerator, which, even after I configured everything, would never search for multiple locations, even when I KNEW they were there (I could be looking at them on the screen, for instance on FilePlanet). And, it refused to resume files about 75% of the time.

Any suggestions for one that actually works? It doesn't need to have any bells and whistles or anything, ads are not a problem (why would they be?), I'm just looking for a download manager that searches for multiple sites, and that I can resume files with. Thanks!

GetRight. Although I think Download Managers are stupid. I used to use it when I had dialup and it's the best.

Whoa, talk about timing. Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

Yes, I hate dialup. I have a 56k, and darn it, I want DSL or Cable sooooo BAD!

I used to like Gozilla, but now the newer versions really suck. Sometimes it takes literally minutes for a download to start. Right now I'm using Reget as my download manager. It is basic, but gets the job done quickly.

I've used GetRight, GoZilla and Download Accelerator and out of the 3 I prefer DA over any of them. Getright was also not bad, GoZilla was a POS.

dl expert is another non-spyware d/l manager, although i don't really care much for d/l managers.

if you want to check each proggy you d/l to determine if its spyware try the following:
