If you are a big geek, like computer geek, most likely you would like a mate that shares your interest. What about girls that do not share your interest and is not a geek, what should the lonely comp geeks do?

As most geeks, we are lazy to go out and party, or go to clubs every fri night to find those girls. We go hopping online looking for potential mates. Have anyone been able to find any "online" and where do you go to find them other than "online"?

I have tried many attempts, like myspace.com, yahoo personals. I have tried going out and ended up her saying she already got a bf.

put yourself out there.

go join some clubs, take dance classes... don't expect much from getting a girl through the internet unless you're good looking..

you have a much better chance by getting loaded and hitting on every girl that passes by.

went out with someone from americansingles.com for 2 months. she was uglier than pictured.
met someone for coffee from match.com and then slowly cut off contact. she was also uglier than pictured.

From my experience I can tell you that dating someone who shares the same interests as you will get boring pretty quick, unless you're looking for a stale relationship.

Nothing at all to do with being a geek or not its all about confidence and comfort.

I am BY FAR the biggest geek I know bar none; and from 9th grade to my senior year in HS I didnt EVEN have a friggin female friend let alone a gf. Finally I told myself Im going to college soon and this is my chance for a fresh start.

2 months into my senior HS year I started excercising, weight lifting, and just trying to gain self confidence/esteem. By the time I got to college I was still the same geek I have always been but I just became more comfortable with myself, and just started talking to women.

Im telling you just be confident, even if the first 10 girls you meet dont become GFs they all have another 10 friends and you all of a sudden have access to a 100 women!! :)

***CONFIRMED*** Dance classes have a great girl:guy ratio.

I also agree about the internet... it may make things easier.. but best to do it offline.. and more fun too :)

Also, once you're dating: meeting in person > talking on the phone > IM. And snail mail greeting cards > e-cards.

Do it your way online if your happy with it that way.

Meet friends of friends and try and hook up with them. Get some social skills as you probably won't be speaking to your gf online all the time...you will actually need some real interaction in person sometime...

All my online hookups have come in IRC.
I don't do that these days though.
Face it ... online, women like to chat or uh "network".

I don't think that's true... a lot of girls don't like that sorta crap.

Online worked for me but you prob have to get lucky. Heh heh.

EDIT: And trying to limit yourself to girls as interested in computers/geeky stuff as you are is only gonna make stuff a lot more difficult. Once you find one she can see what you're into and vice versa.
