OK, I have two SSD's on a raid0 or 1, cant remember. THis is my boot drive, which has windows 7 (250 gigs). I would like to copy all this drive including boot stuff to a WD Caviar 320 gig HD and boot from that so that I can create a new windows 7 boot for audio and what not from the SSD cards still in raid.

So hoping to do these steps:

1. Copy from Raid SSD's to the WD caviar hd
2. boot only from that WD hd with the same data as before
3. Then re-install Win 7 to the raid SSD's
4. Dual boot, one for Hidef Audio (cubase, protools, Ableton) and one for gaming, school, work.

I know 2, 3, 4 are possible. I just dont know what it take to copy and entire boot disk and data to another.

Try using a "live CD" of Ubuntu (or: perhaps the WD drive included a "live CD" ?) to copy the raid boot partition to the single WD drive.
Then disconnect the SSD's and see if the single HD can boot. If not, do an in-place re-install of Windows 7 on the WD drive. Once that's up and running, re-connect the SSD's and select in bios setup, which drive to boot from.

My best bet would be on a Linux live cd and just straight up copy and paste all of the files on the drive.

...I wish microsoft had something good like OSX's disk utility.
