Geeks.com 1 day sale

nomadh, might be a good idea to change your thread title to reflect the fact that they're refurbs. Some folks around here might think badly of you, otherwise. 🙂

Warranty: 180 Day Direct
Condition: Factory Recertified

As close to the $100 price that these drives have been at, recently, for brand new......I'd have to join the club to say PASS.

ps- when frys has these brand new retail, 5yr, for $10 more its pretty goofy to buy refurbs - $149 for 750GBs right now at frys.com, the 500s were $95 last week

I'm with Googer on Geeks security. They are gonna have to win my trust back somehow before I order from them again.

Mmmm ya refurbs kills it for me. I've had some bad experiences with refurbs although my latest one was good. Really depends how much of the drive is serviced. Like my latest Raptor seems like it had it pretty much everything replaced from the fluid bearings to the firmware board (its about 5x quieter than the drive I RMA'd).

I totally missed that they were refurbs. In too much of a hurry. Sorry to completely waste everyones time on this. I also buy on the warranty thats why I like seagate. I should have stuck to the hat 🙂
BTW what would be a good deal for a refurb 500 sata? I'd bite for $30 I think. Run the crap out of it for 3 months to test then use it as a 2 string periodic backup not an online drive.
Once again sorry and thanks for adjusting the title.
