I'm looking for a solid way to mount my iPhone to my bike which seems moderate craziness. I haven't seen very many mounts that I'm exceeding impressed by thus far, lots of plastic and cheesy mounting systems, including zip-ties.

Allow me to be the first to ask.. Why not just put it in your pocket or a backpack etc?

Phones don't have enough battery life for cyclists to use them as bike computers. Cyclists use devices like the Garmin Edge.

Sorry, I don't have help on the "mount a phone on a bicycle front" but I know a lot of cyclists and none of them use a phone like you propose.

I'm hugely opposed to people who do this - I don't understand it, given the cost of an ANT+ adapter, along with other hazards. Your only choice would really be the mounts that are plastic, etc. unless you find a milled setup from aluminum.

Put it in the back pocket of your cycling jersey and use the MyTracks app. You can check your stats later.
