And then, every year, for decades, you gave it more money. And you never received an audit of how productive that money was spent. How effective do you think that that organization would be?

This isn't about protecting national security info; again, it's about outright lying. And Clapper etc aren't politicians, but rather professionals working for us in national security. But you're right, they're acting like politicians and lying. That's a big problem.

Gun control, internet control, cell phone control. When you think about it to a degree it does add up. How would our government deal with a hostile foreign body? Same way right? Disarm the enemy. Monitor all communications. I'm not saying the US gov is going to start declaring marshal law on it's citizens anytime soon. I am saying they are trying to be in the best position they can be if they have to.
