Gee, that's odd... (strange command prompt behavior)

When I right click in a command window (win2000) the contents of my clipboard pastes into the window.

Is that NORMAL and I somehow failed to notice it before, or is it indicative of a problem?

yes, that is how I make a dir>output.txt, i browse to directory in explorer, copy that location, then add the dir/s>output.txt, or dir>output.txt

If you edit the command prompt window properties (right click title bar, select properties), you can enable or disable this through QuickEdit mode.
