a bunch of people at work were moving into new offices or just moving around to other offices. so the other day my boss was telling me that he and the wife of the owner of the company i work for thought i should have my own office. at the time, i shared an office with my boss.
of course, i get a bit excited at having my own office for once. that coupled with the $3000 /year raise and the supposed $2000 bonus i am getting (was told last monday or tuesday, payday is thursday, no bonus check yet) getting made me feel pretty good.

a few days later the sales manager moves one of the sales guys into the office i was possibly going to have. so i'm like wtf? now what?

oh, we're going to move you into this 4'x4' cubicle across the hallway.

gee, thanks...sigh

unless they make some mroe changes, it will be another year or 2 before i see my own office. this will be when they build the new afctory.

cliffs:
coworkers moving to new offices.
i might get one of the old offices
me = happy
end up getting 4'x4' cubicle
me = pissed

"Roger, at Cornell University, they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the tunnelling electron microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons, you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem. Thank you for your call."
