I started a thread about ordering ram through Crucial.com and potential duties/charges to Canada, and it was in the General Hardware Forum. Here's the link. If an admit is going to lock a thread, certainly have the common courtesy to note where the thread should be posted if it's not in the right section. That said, the only person who ever said anything about it being in the wrong group was the admin..

I am not the Mod who locked your thread, but I agree that it was off topic for the General Hardware Forum. Your question was not about RAM, your question was about the payment of duty on a parcel shipped from the US to Canada. This thread belonged in the Off Topic Forum, which (as the name indicates) is the appropriate place for questions whose subject is not covered by the various technical forums.
