My quad core el cheapo pci-e system is looking good for the Thanksgiving holiday. Perfect time to upgrade. I'm glad I skipped duel core cpu's and pci-e last year. My system still plays any game made in the past year just fine at 1280x1024. Now if they would only make a game I wanna buy this year, then I'll switch over to quad core, new ram, motherboard, psu and a high end video card for less then a $1000.00 dollars.

He is prolly banking on the Intel price cut on the Q6600 to $266, as described here: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=6488 .
I am planning for the same deal. That's when I will finally migrate to multi-core/DDR/PCI-E/DX10/Vista/SATA. All in one shot!
Nice. I have not seen that. At $266/ea, the Q6600s will sell like crazy.Originally posted by: defiantsf
