Gecube 3870 X2 X-Turbo Dual bugs

I have tried this card on 3 motherboards, all with different levels of success, on the MSI K9A2 790FX mobo the Win XP installation becomes corrupt and games crashes all the time. On the 2 Gigabyte mobos (MA770-DS3/790X-DS4) it's a somewhat better story, but games running on the HL2/Source engine still freezes at times and certain settings crashes the game altogether. Running a ASUS HD 4850 single card on these gigabyte mobos and the same game works without a single flaw tbh. There's something about the tandem or just this card that doesn't work properly. I've tried different drivers, setting, you name it. Even Vista or such.

Anyone else had such problems or heard about them?

possibly a faulty card.

I have used these cards as well as sapphire's version many times with out any issues.

Is there anyway to disable the CF on these card and make it a single card? I think that would work a lot better.

ummm not sure? it would be pretty pointless anyway as the card would perform the same as a 3870.

try the card in an OpenGL game (Q4 etc) IIRC crossfire doesn't work with OpenGL.

Well it might work better.
