Have an old Dell 8200 XP Home with SP2 and other major updates.
Every now and then when it boots, I get an error that Gearsec has
encountered an error and needs to close.
I have installed the latest drivers from Gear, but I did not tell it to
remove Gearsec as I am not sure which program wants to use it.
From what I can find, it seems to be related to some sort of CD writing app.
I have installed the following cd / dvd programs:
Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator Platinum V6 (Drag to Disc is installed)
Nero V6.6
Power ISO
UltraISO
DVDFab Platinium
Not sure which of these wants Gearsec but it is most likely Roxio
How can I tell which one is causing the error to appear ? ?
Thanks
