I'm thinking about getting it in the future. Is it popular for single player or multi-player gaming though? I'm only interested in single player games (32 and married w/ kids).

It has a great single-player component. It will last about 6-8 hours depending on your skill level but has different difficulty levels and achievements to grab on replays.

Single player is fun.

The co-op multi is drop-in / drop-out. As you go through the single player story you have an ai team mate with you, same as single play. If you do play multi through the story you just have to host and anyone can jump in and take over the ai person. When they are done they leave and it has no affect on your progress through the game, except the extra help a person can give over the ai.

It does also have vs play also, but I never tried it when I rented it.

I found it to be a fulfilling rental and would like to find a decently priced used copy of the game. Probably not worth the full retail of $60 if you only intend to play through once or twice.

I loved the single player. I beat it on every difficulty and played through it Co Op on each level as well. Multi i wasnt too thrilled about however.

I have it for Windows, it's a pretty fun game, the mechanics are pretty spiffy and the shooting is satisfying, co-op recommended. I didn't feel it was worth full retail price and I don't think it's worth $40 even but if you can find it for cheap, then it's a fun little game.

Also have it for windows, it's really fun. The single player campaign took me a little over a week and a half playing casually (1-1.5 hours a day)
