You have to set the date on your computer back to 1/27/2009 to start this game. WTF is that silliness.

Hope there's a way around it. Something to do with DRM or something similar I would think.

I've always had a ton of trouble with Xbox games ported to PC, starting with Halo which had a lot of problems. Halo 2 wasn't any better in that regard. It's like they don't want you to play these games on a PC :x

It wants you to go back in time when the game still has some relevance maybe

The issue is caused by a digital certificate that expired on 1/28/09. Big goof by Epic and MS, but there's a patch.
