Gears of War problem

So, I got my Gears of War. Installed the game flawlessly, run the game, go through the menu to start a new campaign and it starts loading and just when its about to start, it crashes.

I have done this countless number of times and no luck. If anybody else has gone through this same problem, please share how to fix it.

I think i am going to try and get a refund. I loved this game when I played it on my friend's xbox. I really want it to work.

Any help is appreciated.

Wish I could help, but I run it on XP. Performance between XP and Vista may be pretty much identical right now, but Vista's driver situation still has a long way to go.

I thought Gears of War is meant to be played on Vista
It has that Games for Windows label.

And God only knows why you would, seeing as it does roughly diddly poo.

are you using the autoplay feature? They causes it to crash I think, try opening it from your start menu instead.
