I am an OG GearsHead. Me and my bro pre-ordered and co-op'd online day one. I dug playing as Dom. The first time I 2 pieced a grub with the shotty and Dom said 'sup bitches! I knew the Epic crew were one of us. Now, I can only hope this is a true return to form for the series. No more angsty teens and cringey dialogue. Let's get back to some old school cool and grimdark style Gears.

MS needs to go a COGs collection stat.

Hard to get worked up over a new release in a series when the last one I played on PC was Gears 1 (this would be "6" correct?)

Get with the program MS, release any and all Xbox only exclusives on PC post haste.

They are going to port Gears and Halo to Playstation. I would not have bet on that 20 years ago. Most think it will be MC collection and Gears Ultimate, or maybe those have been confirmed? But while they are at it, they may as well get the Gears collection for PC done too. A Sony exec, as you know, was just quoted as saying PC ports were like printing money. There is the incentive.

So it'll be the 7th title if we don't count tactics; it being a different genre.

As I've written before, if you skip 4 you are not missing much.

, but I did not like the rest of the game as I recall. 5 is fun combat, story is weak, kids needs to get off my lawn.

E-Day has so much potential. The Coalition will almost certainly screw this up to some extent. They are like 343 (so bad they changed their name) I.E. made stewards of hallowed franchises and proceeded to turn them into slop. Hopefully they will at least get the majority of it right.

They are releasing a Gears of War Remaster called Reloaded in August. I already own Ultimate so it will evidently be a free upgrade. Smart move to release it a couple of months before E-day to get any PC gamers that never played Xbox ready for the prequel.

Reloaded is a nice freebie. Best it has ever looked and played for me. My kid saw me playing and said it looks the way the OG 360 version did in his mind's eye. I remember being impressed with the visuals back then too. UE3 still being the base is neat. It's on game pass too.

- Those are the best remasters: the ones that look like you remember the game looking in your mind's eye.

Then you pull up screenshots of the OG game and vomit in disgust at the low resolution everything etc.
