Gears of War + COD3 for $99 at Best Buy.

Well, going to have to talk to my roommate for this one. See if he's willing to split the cost. He's really into COD and I just want GOW. I wonder if they let us use the Gamer Gift card.

BTW, do any of you think it's strangely cool that they play the Mad World song from Donnie Darko in the commercial for GOW?

well the games are 59.99 each + tax so about 65.00 after tax.

99.00 + tax (about 8.00) so 108.00

hmm 108.00 after tax vs 120.00 before tax (130.00 after tax)

seems pretty hot to me.

now the familyvideo deal had these games for 45.99 shipped for new customers.

So I ordered COD3, Friend ordered GOW, And the Fiancee ordered Tony Hawk 8

45.99 * 3 = 135.00 now that was a hot deal. If I bought them locally I would have been looking at 180.00 before tax.

 
Hmmm. Was thinking of getting COD3, but I really dont see what GOW has going for it, just looks like hype to me.

Friend of mine got to play some demo at a booth in arizona this past weekend. He said it was f-ing awesome...

Ill take his word for it that it is indeed. F-ing Awesome.
 
I think this is a Canada deal...reason being. Project 8 is listed at 64.99 and it is only 59.99 here in the states.

GoW looks to be designed as more of a graphical playground than a gameplay focused game. Having watched a few demo's it looks like it's mostly a Doom style game of run and gun, but it sure looks purdy.

Don't get me wrong, it looks entertaining, but I'd certainly not expect it to be a terribly "deep" game. I'd pick it up just to see what it looks like.

Hot deal BTW. If only I had a 360...

Maybe Zikronix saw "CA" and though Canada... but in reality doesn't know there is a state called "California" and that the US usually abreviates Canada as "CAN"
 
No i didnt mistake ca for california or canada. I reffered to it as ca because bestbuy.ca is the canadain arm of best buy. Not futureshop.ca which is also owned by best buy. which is the store he was refering to.

Even futher more if you go to bestbuy.ca weekly ad and enter a postalcode (not to be confused with zipcode)

Why does it look like a US ad and not Canadian? How should a Canadian ad look? Do you think Canadian ads have some sort of alien-looking appearance?
