Yes, I know this is a PC Gaming forum but I figure Mac is a personal computer as well:

In Mac gaming news, TeamXBox notes that vice president of Epic Games, Mark Rein, revealed that both Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 are both coming to the Mac.

"We're an independent company and we make engine technology. Don?t forget, we?re also doing Macintosh."

So the show's host, Geoff Keighley, asked: "Gears of War is coming to the Mac?"

"Yes, Gears is coming to the Mac and so is UT," said Rein.
One big announcement at WWDC was that EA was once again developing games for the Mac. EA, however, is using TransGaming's Cider to port their games to the Mac. As a result, their games will be Intel-only.

There has been no official word on the method behind Epic Games' Mac ports, but there have been comments that the Unreal Engine 3 was being officially ported to the Mac, suggesting PowerPC support would be possible.

I still don't get how you are supposed to play these games with a one button mouse.

They have more than one button, troll.

haha techncially they still don't :D

cmon, why not just use the standard 2 button mouse? (3 if you count the scroll wheel). it is simple, cheap, and effective. the only nice thing about the "mighty mouse" - and mighty it isn't - is the ball scroller, which is very smooth. i'd gladly take my logitech mx700 over the mighty mouse any day of the week.

Its the simple Mac mentality. Or apple mentallity. "I just want to turn it on and have it work" Not that there is anything I can actually put on it that is good. Like iPods. On, play song (badly).

Flamesuit on.

I read ages ago but the can't remember where but the best selling MAC games in the last few years :
World of warcraft
Marathon
Halo

I don't think Microsoft wanted Gears of War to go to Mac and i think Microsoft and epic have a bad relationship since stupid people at Microsoft didn't let epic release all the content they made for the user for free so they just said "screw you M$ , we will release the PC version with all the content that we made for 360 to provide to pc user". Microsoft thought they would be as loyal as Bioware. If Gears of War comes out on PS3 next year then Microsoft would have wasted 100million marketing money on a title that they can't control epic. Stupid Microsoft did was not own the IP. Also one of the reason epic has delayed UT2007 on XBOX 360 was because Microsoft wouldn't open the platform for mods. At least epic got Microsoft to make Windows Live anywhere available on XP but they will still not add support to UT3 as Microsoft wouldn't give into demands that all the developer asking.

Gears of War looking to sell 5million by the end of the year... UT2004 sold less than 2million less than its life time.

only ones with 1600 , 1900, 8600. But 70% of the mac sold have low gpu than 7300gt. 7300gt may work at the lowest setting and lowest res.

I really love OpenGL :)
If only more developers would wake up from the microsoft speak and realize that with opengl they can reach many many more customers.
