Gears of War 2 will indeed have chainsaw vs chainsaw battles

I never thought I'd be posting the "Gears of War 2" trailer again so soon, but looks like I have to, since I learned something new and cool about the game.

Those of you who have watched it already know that about halfway through, the two overmuscled 'roid poppers on-screen put their chainsaw guns together and start pushing back and forth. I was talking to two people last night who are close enough to the development team at Epic to know and they confirmed for me that this will be a mechanic in the game: When somebody tries to chainsaw you, there will be a way to push back with your own chainsaw gun and potentially fend them off or, possibly, end up chopping them into a bloody pile of flesh chunks.

I'm guessing the Mechanic to push back with your gun is pushing the A button rapidly?

Revenge of the Sith had that mechanic in versus mode. My friend is a better button masher than I am, so he was winning most of the time. I had to start hurriedly repositioning my hand so I could use my index finger to button mash, my thumb just isn't fast enough. Had to do the same hing with god of war in some parts, just couldn't mash fast enough with me thumb.

Hopefully shooting them will still stop the saw from revving, because I don't foresee me doing well in a chainsaw fight, but any chance to prevent getting turned in to quivering bloody sushi is a good thing.

left analog stick controls left arm, right analog stick controls right arm, right arm has the knife, left arm is holding the other guys right arm(knife hand), motion sensing control to move your own shoulders/upper body...

I hope its not button mashing, because then anyone who is a good button masher will be the unchallenged king of the chainsaw every round.
