They post one deal a day, except you're not buying a product... you're just buying a coupon. I've never used groupon but I believe it's the same thing. Anyway it looks like a good site, and I heard about it from my uncle. He's on the board of directors for Joseph's Journey, a non-profit org that provides outdoor adventures to children with terminal or life threatening illnesses. Gearhog contacted them offering to help with fundraising.

So I'm just spreading this around both for a new deal site, and to help kids get to know the great outdoors.

I watch it everyday. In fact, I just bought the red dot and Weaver mount they had on special today for $29. Going to mount it on the sons Ruger 10/22..

I got in on the 1st day with the $25 gift card for $12.25 to Brownell's

Nothing since then has interested me or has been junk (the flashlight and the red dot sight).

You did not see the 1/2 price deal on a $100 coupon at USAammo.com? They had $100 worth of ammo on sale for $50.

They sold out before I could order mine.

I check gearhog almost daily to see the new deals.

I went for the 100 for $50 ammo bit. Still waiting on my shipment. UPS/Mother Nature's fault, apparently there have been mudslides in IL. Supposed to get it all on Friday.

They either do coupons or product deals. Today it's a sling, and a while ago they placed direct orders for CorBon ammo. It's kinda like woot for the outdoors.

I took them up on the $50 for $100 ammo thing, and I've been waiting for USA Ammo to restock 308. Today, the USA Ammo page for all 308 ammo has disappeared. I guess I have until December to see if it comes back.

None of the other Gearhog deals have been interesting, but that's the same as all the other group coupon deals. I've only bought half-priced Amazon and car washes from other site. Deals for trendy restaurants, pilates classes and "colon irrigations" don't do a lot for me.

i'm not a big fan of buying remanufactured ammo.
especially when it blows up your gun.

<facepalm>

If your firearm "blows up" with reloads, its time to switch to a different brand. The only exception is 38 special - which can hold 3 charges of powder.

Did you see the mythbusters show where they were trying to blow up the barrel of a rifle by plugging the end? To get the barrel to split open, they had to weld, or plug the end of the barrel.

With modern gun steel, massive failures are very, very rare.

I am sure someone is going to go out to youtube and find a video of a gun blowing up to dispute my post. But there are very few failures, when you consider how many tens of thousands of rounds are fired daily.

I use to reload all of my pistol ammo. It was not uncommon for my buddies and I to reload 2,000+ round during a weekend.

To say reloads will blow up your firearm, is like saying eating will make you choke.

i never said it WILL blow up my gun. some of the ammo that was sold in that deal was recalled. it did blow up some guy's gun.

I don't buy refurbished stuff (it's bit me in the ass once and I won't do it again). I'll use reloads but I want to trust the people I am getting it from. I never heard of usammo before the deal.
