I have a GE Force 7300GS with 512MB and a ATI 1550X with 256MB.

Which one is better? I don't know much about graphics cards. My girlfriends laptop just went down and I installed WOW on one of my machines. I want to put the best graphics card in the machine that has it.

Thanks, JOe K.

even if find some reviews of them they will be very out dated, test them both with current drivers and see for yourself.

Why do you say beware?

What card would you guys recommend for video editing (which really doesn't rely on a card) and casual gaming for less than 150 at newegg?

Thanks,

EVGA 8800GS $80AR (combo with 2GB OCZ ram available)
Gigabyte HD 3870 $100AR (free copy NWN2 included)
EVGA 8800GT $130AR
ASUS HD 4850 $158AR

More powerful in order of increasing price (go figure). Without knowing what CPU/RAM you have and what resolution you game at I would probably suggest either the 8800GS or the 3870 just because they offer great performance at a very low price. Either will be a heck of an upgrade from 7300GS/X1550.

EDIT: One thing I need to clarify. Are your current systems AGP or PCIe? If PCIe, go for the cards above. If AGP, get this HIS HD 3850 for $128AR.
