Aside from the whole "to do" with the paper launch, I thought this line was interesting, "We're also curious why, in ATI has been going around touting the pending game, F.E.A.R. as a shader model 3.0 game when it is not."

The Phantom Edition reminded me of Intels 1Ghz launch. It took about 8 months before there was any kind of quantity in the channel.

I wonder where that OGL driver rewrite went that was supposed to even the playing field? 13.5 months late with no mention of a release date.
