Is there that much more performance in Gddr5 memory that it can still use a 256 bit memory interface? I just bought a new card gtx 260 core 216 448bit 896mb card...and I'm seeing these cards that offer the Gddr5 memory. am I gonna notice the difference?

Looking at a specific spec to decide on a card is kind of dumb imo. Look at what the whole package produces

Yes, all things being equal, GDDR5 will deliver roughly twice the bandwidth of GDDR3. That being said, GDDR3 with a faster interface will offer the same performance as GDDR5 (ie GDDR3 + 512bit vs. GDDR5 + 256bit will offer roughly the same memory bandwidth)

No, you won't notice a difference. GDDR3 + 448bit is still a massive amount of bandwidth and is plenty for the GTX 260.
