GDDR3 thermal interface pads, on the hunt...

Card manufacturers seem to be using semi-solid pads of thermal paste for GDDR3 memory interface. I want to inspect the memory on two 7900GTO's and am hunting something to replace the gooey thermal pads upon reassembly. What's a good replacement? There's a bit of thickness to the stock thermal pads. Simple thermal paste doesn't seem like it would do the trick. Suggestions or links?

I once read a review of the eVGA 7600GT KO where the reviewer removed the heatsink to show the thermal pads and chips. He then replaced the stock pads with ones he cut out of a large sheet. I cannot remember where I saw the review. However, I came up with this searching for 'thermal pads for video memory'

It's a start.

Edit: apparently AS5 will work:

Are you sure you really want to do this? Seems like a lot of fuss.
