Howzit?

Thought i'd pop in with a short bulletin, just to reassure those who really care about me (;)), that i hadn't been munched on by a white pointer...

Had an awesome camping trip with mates, in fact was mindblowingly awesome, we ended up doing about 3000kms driving (blasting through huge clouds of locusts at high speed certainly enlivened the travelling), got evacuated from our first national park after three awesome nights there due to massive bushfires (a ~300m+ firefront blazing down a huge hill at night looked like the apocalypse, wish i'd had a camera), so we kicked on to a much more remote one for a few nights, then stayed a night with one of my old man's mates, had an awesome night with him, hit up the pub for dinner, had a good yarn. Visted a very nice winery, got some great bushwalking in, got amazingly black, did a lot of fishing, and more swimming in crystal clear water than i'd imagine your little minds could take....

Just spent a pleasant four days staying with the missus's folks down in bunbury, awesome food, played a bucket load of darts, got pissed with her old man every arvo, saw casino royale (good ******), drank a vast amount of her old man's beer...

Now we've got an evening at home to prep the fishies and mow the law/clean the house/etc then we're off over to NSW to spend Chrissy and New Years with my folks :D

I hope you all enjoyed this little news update from the great southern land, and i hope you enjoy chrissy and new years far more, have a wonderful and safe holiday season y'all,

Dug.

P.S. Also, we won back the Ashes in a not insignificantly impressive fashion :D

Congrats about the ashes. My bro-in-law (English) is bummed.

Oh, and sounds like you had a fun trip!

it will surprise you to learn that very little Vegemite was consumed, mainly tuna sandwiches, as well as pickled onion and cheese ones...;)

I can't tell you how sick i am of the smell of cooking locusts :disgust:

Put a mesh on the grille straight-up, but every leading edge and oblique (?) facing of the car was covered in a thick paste of locust gut fat, and the engine bay had literally hundreds of locusts in every available nook....

Lloyd: That's a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?
Lady at bus stop: Austria.
Lloyd: Austria! Well, then. G'day mate! Let's put another shrimp on the barbie!
Lady at bus stop: Let's not.

What's Gday? Is that like Dday? or Vday? or is it more like Bidet?
