Finally Decided to get Gamecube :)
Was going to get Metriod, but someone told me a friend got it for me for chirstmas so I got RE.

the loading annoys me to death.. not when you open the doors but when it goes to a diffrent angle of the room or something suddely happens, ie. talking to someone... you hear the cd spin and a subtle sudden slowdown occurs in game...
Drives me nuts.

It's not just me is it lol?

I just finished it for the gamecube, (Only reason I bought the unit) I really didn't notice the game slowing down, I did notice the drive spin up then back down for no reason though...

It is no better or worse than any other version of resident evil. The load times totally detract from the game.

Try eternal darkness, almost no loading at all.

The load times for Metroid began to annoy me. Not too bad, but it does get annoying if you need to get somewhere fast.

never get a PS2, you'll probably kill yourself waiting there. WTF are you talking about?

What is with the control scheme for RE? I can't do anything, and end up getting eaten by zombies because either I can't shoot or can't run away. Is this common to the survival horror genre? Suvive the zombies *AND* the bad control scheme?

The elevator sequences.

Thats not really loading times. :p Thats just a cut scene to distinguish between worlds and show some movies. They were told to show as much of Samus as possible. It's not like its loading up the next world up in the backgrounds.

If you consider that loading time, you should try out most games. They pause and you see the "loading" bar going across. Now thats annoying.

Best Game Evar for "no load times":

Jak and Daxter.

You get load time at the start of the game or when loading a saved game. That's all. Everything else is streamed off the DVD and pieced together as you run around. I played ALL the way through, and acheived a 100% score - so I know I didn't miss any areas.

Frickin' NUTS. I only wish the game was longer. :D

While I have MP I haven't played it yet.

But in most cases such things like you are talking about are indeed masked loading scenes. Like in RE when it shows the doors opening. Metal Gear did the same thing with elevators. Pretty neat way to hide the loading, works for me :D
