Getting on a 18 hour plane ride.. NY -> Japan -> Taiwan. I need some game recommendation.. something side scroll shooter.. like UN Squadron or R-Type

If there is something good with multiple levels.. need something for the whole flight I hope.. with power ups, etc.. different weapons..

assuming I break a few hours for sleeping... on/off.. well is there anything like un squadron or rtype around ? I think I found r-type 3 but not sure if local store carries it..
