This seems legit. I have used Gazelle in the past and wondered where all the stuff went. Maybe we will see more such sales in the future.

http://www.gazelleipads.com/

From the e-mail I received:

Ever wonder what happens to all those gadgets traded into Gazelle? Well, for the first time ever, we're giving you the opportunity to buy some of those gadgets directly from us.

Thanks to gadget upgraders like you, we saw thousands of first-generation iPads come through our doors. We've hand selected the best of the best to make available to you at www.gazelleipads.com.

As of today, prices start at $379.99. All of the iPad models are previously owned, but in superb cosmetic condition. The screens are flawless and casing shows at most very minimal signs of wear from normal handling, such as light scratches. Each iPad comes in the original box with charger, USB cable, and manual. They are first generation models, and the 3G models use AT&T service.

The iPad is a revolution in technology, so whether you've wanted one for yourself or think it might be a great gift just in time for Mother's or Father's Day, head on over and check out our great deals on used iPads.

Buy an iPad now!

From all of us at Gazelle,
Keep It Moving.

That being said, maybe use with caution.

Site looks pretty shady to me.

A non-scaling site with a bare-bones contact form from BlueOctane.net? At least the whois seems legit.

You first ;)

$380 for a 16GB wifi iPad 1 isn't a hot deal. But 64GB 3G for $480 ain't bad.

Used Gazelle before. While they are not the best retailer, they are very legit.

I bought a refurbished PS3 from this outlet on ebay with a 30-day warranty. The unit got the YLOD on day 35. I politely asked them to exchange it since it has been only a few days past their 30-day return policy. They wouldn't do it.

After I opened it up, the PS3 had had the heat gun repair done to the circuit board. I 'fixed' mine which lasted me another month, then it died again with the same YLOD.

I would stay away from this place. They buy used units from people, do shady crappy repairs to them, and then resell for a profit with a cheesy warranty that just lasts long enough to let them out of dealing with you.

I wished I just had bought a brand new Sony PS3 unit for $70 more with a full 1 year warranty period.
