Gaza's Palestinians got their first taste of freedom after Israeli troops left the coastal strip Monday. They took full possession of the territory for the first time following hundreds of years of subjugation by the Ottoman Empire, the British, the Egyptians and finally the Israelis.

And the stupid mofos burned the only usable buildings left. They will simply replace the verdant, semi paraqdise the Jews had with another sewage dump in which the only industry is the building of AK's and bus bombs. In a year, the Jews will be forced to take it all back, kick out the bums and rebuild again.

And they burned the temples... Nice. I am sure that the opposite reaction would be met with the same measured calm.

While their methods weren't the greatest, who cares? Those usable buildings weren't very practical for them. The Israelis were only in the low thousands, but there are over a million Palestinians in the area. Anything made for the Israelis wouldn't be large enough.

hello but you are missing alot of facts, which is not surprising

The IDF demolished all buildings in the former settlements except for the synagogues and a few greenhouses. There was debate in Israel if the IDF should demlish the synagogues but it was decided they would be left behind, because of religous pressure. The palestinians have alredy decided what they will do with the land and it does not involve nice urban houses with large gardens and lots of open spaces and certainly it does not involve synagogues for obvious reasons. What it does involve is new housing for the cramped gaza strip population, alot denser than the settlements by far.

and so people know that "full" possesion of the gaza strip is not quite true, Israel still controls the borders and holds on to land for border patrols

I'll bet their houses would have been if they had left them.

No, dumbass, they wouldn't have. You can check the exact percentages if you wish, but prior to the evacuation, 8000 jewish settlers took up something along the lines of 20% of the territory, while a million palestinians had the rest. How retarded does one have to be to believe that if only 8000 palestinians would have moved into the spacious villas, everything would have been a-ok?

I may be retarded, but I do know something about contraception. Something that your millions of Palestinian friends apparently missed!

So the problems are because of a lack of condoms?

The greenhouses were supposed to be used by the Palestinians to support their newly found freedom, but the Palestinian troops guarding them were overrun by the Palestinian people and the greenhouses are being looted and destroyed as well.

That's a fact that cannot be missed.

what a joke.

'Security forces have failed to prevent scavenging and looting of abandoned Israeli settlements, including key greenhouses that were bought for the Palestinians by Jewish donors for $14 million.'

Yeah, haven't you heard. The world isn't getting short of anything, the numbers are just getting to big to support. More a lack of knowing when to pull out! How many condoms could you make for the cost of an RPG.

I hope the donor feels like the money was well spent.

We agree. Just having fun at the expense of those justifying one thing over another.

As you know, the ME is a rather brutal place. It has been for a long time, and there is no reason for it to change.

It's too bad really because so many have been so angry for so long that is the norm. Such is life.

I liked it a lot better when they were nice folks in fairy tales that charmed snakes and flew about on carpets. Reality is a bitch!

I can't believe I'm saying this-- I agree with condor. For two people with compltely opposite political views, it's nice to know we can settle on something. I'm Jewish, and in all seriousness, I completely despise the Palestinians. They had 2/3 of what is now Israel, and in 1948, they decided they didn't want Jews to live anywhere in it. They lost, and they lost the country. IMO, they didn't deserve any of it back. The Israelis developed and made the nation prosperous, and I agree with Condor when he says that all that Gaza will become is bomb manufacturing areas and a complete slum. I'm going to guess that this is coming off as somewhat racist, and I suspect that it is. But I'm sorry... I just don't think that people who are so hateful towards another religion, let alone enough to kill themselves over it, deserve their own spot in Israel. Gaza is going to become a complete Hamas (spelling?) breeding ground.

Worried about Hamas? Try hezbollah!
