Gays Vote GOP in Record Numbers

I see no reason to believe anyone was doing anything nefarious, it's just stupid people in the media taking a sensational story without doing the requisite checking into if their story meant anything. Pretty typical, really.

Sometimes it's the 'right-wing propaganda machine', and sometimes it's what you mention. They are pretty complementary, really.

Let me see if I can quite get my arms around the thesis of our original OP.

Like wow oh wow, a whole 31% of USA self indentified gays voted for the GOP in 2010. Even if we are fool enough to believe any Fox news statistic.

But suppose we do, it still means 69% of US self identified gays did not vote GOP.

And then we can do de math, assuming only 4% of the US votes comes from gays.

Lets me see let me see, 4% of 330 million is whole 13.2 million gay votes total. Times 31% it is down to 4 million, and when we consider that many of them are either too young to vote or in the non voting somewhat majority, at best the GOP gains 2 million nationwide vote at the cost of 4 million gay voters who would not dream of voting GOP.

No matter how you cut it, the GOP lost a net 2 million gay votes in 2010.

Where is the GOP joy in that??????????????????????????????????????????

Please explain it to me because I seemed to have missed all the GOP gayity.
