My friend has just come back on college break and has been hitting on some of our female friends. The problem is that in HS he came out saying he was gay, and now he says it was just a thing he went through. He says it is something he wanted to overcome. I tried to tell him that he should be himself, and he says he is being himself. I want to know what you think, can someone who came out in HS go straight in college?

All that means is he is not gay, he is bi-sexual.

Well maybe he wasn't really gay to begin with?

Or maybe he's bi?

Or maybe he's repressing himself?

Too many possibilities, and frankly, it doesn't affect me in any way whatsoever, so . . ..

Sure, Why not? Maybe he's just confused and doesn't really know what he is or isn't.
Time will tell . . .

- Confused about his sexuality

- Bisexual

- Acting gay to pick up chicks (how this works is beyond me, but I'll leave that one to someone else to figure out)

Take your pick.

this is probably gonna come out wrong... so, i apologise in advance.

There are so many ppl in today's educational system and governmental office that are trying to send a clear message to all young ppl that it is ok to be who are you and be accepted for who/what you are... that i think it has lead to an environment of experimentation for many kids. there are many kids who will try stuff just to try it. Those with no gay tendencies will experiment just to say they have tried it. Some grow out of it, some are truly gay.

at least that is the trend i am seeing. (not that gay is a trend, but experimenting is)

As for your friend... whatever he wants to do. As long as he practices safe sex.. he is a grown up.
:)

Someone I know who went to an all-women's college said they had a descriptive term for certain girls, L.U.G.

Lesbian Until Graduation.

So it is possible, I guess.

Take your pick.

Chicks want what they can't have, and are more inclined to drop their defenses if they think you're gay, because you won't hit on them.

General observations. I haven't tried this new level of subterfuge yet.

I don't see how it can change. I mean isn't it something chemical? Either a certain sex makes you stand at attention or they don't. Something chemical would have to be affecting that, no?

I guess it goes back to the age old question of whether you're born gay or not.

Neither argument is necessarily incorrect. It could be that only some gays are born gay, or whatever... it is certainly possible to chose your sexual orientation... it just escapes me as to why one would do so.

If he threw a pitch to another Dude and the equipment was functional, he's Ghey. If he's bi, he's Ghey.

How is it possible to choose? I don't get this. You can't make yourself feel aroused or not feel aroused by a certain individual. You just think, or see, and your body reacts accordingly. How can you change that?
