Is everyone in the choir gay?

Yes. im pretty sure my wife and I will be the minority in the audience.

Why the all gay part?

just their thing, i guess... you have all women chiors, all men chiors, all childresns chiors, and all gay chiors...

I've got friends in the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus... I went to their "Joy" performance last winter (might again this year, dunno), and there were all types of people there, not just gays. My straight brother went with me, for one ;) I saw quite a few hetero couples there as well. It was held in a church, was a very professional performance, and it was honestly one of the best performances I've seen to date. Just because they're gay, doesn't mean they are not *awesome* singers/musicians (many would say the inverse).

I had something funny to say before I clicked the link. Unfortuantely that picture scared all the funny out of me. I think I am going to go back to work now...yes that seems nice.

so we went last night. It was ok, not exciting and not boring. the choral did have some excellent talent in the singing dept.

there were about 200 couples there. 90% were same sex relationship. The theme was "A celebration of Love" so basically the love between all couples, gay/straight. At the end of itthe boulder county clerk and reporter gave a speach saying that she wants to be the first county clerk in coloado to issue a same sex marriage license. then two reverends wearing robes with rainbow scarves or what ever they are called that hand down from around the neck. gave a speech on no matter what people or constituntial amendments say, love between two same sex people will never be broken.

Then they invited the committed couples in the audience to come up as a group to in front of the stage to make a pledge of thier love for each other. My wife and I did it and it was very touching. If my wife and I didnt have these damn colds i it was major poky poky points last night. ;)

The thing was held at the Newman center on the University of Denver campus. Very Very nice place. Its basically a opra house. the acustics in that place was un-belivable. My wifes friend played a flute during one of the songs and with no mic, her sound was very crisp and clear.
