I liked it. Do you get the "meaning" of the title? I didn't realize it until my science teacher pointed it out

I watched it in a lower division philosophy class, so I never realized what the title was until I took bio.

I think the film's commentary on the future is pretty interesting, although i think it was pretty selfish of ethan hawke's character to pretend since he obviously isn't physically qualified to be in the program although mentally he was. Who knows, maybe he'll be in space and suffer a heartattack or his contacts break or something

i thought it was a pretty good movie.

they named the movie off of the letters labeled for individual dna pieces, which include the letters g-a-t-t-a-c-a. i havent taken biology in 4 yrs, so i'm a bit rusty.

it did end with him shooting off into space, but before that, he mentioned to uma therman that he was so many thousand heartbeats beyond his estimated heart failure. this basically means that his 1% chance of living came true, but it also means that he still has a weak heart, so he still has a possibility of having a heart failure later on.

Excellent movie. You can make a movie without all the special effects crap!

As someone who has to swipe badges and enter passwords all day long to get access to things at work, I think about their blood-testing machines a lot!

good movie

watched it a week or so ago
whats weird, is when his brother first entered the movie (as an adult) - i asked my wife, "Is that his brother"
weird...i just had that instict

she was like "WTF!?"

Just saw it, great movie IMO, any opinions?

One of the few "real" sci-fi flicks out there that work without having to throw Lucas-grade SFX, hi-tech gadgetry and Riddick-like grand epic idiocy in our faces. I don't care much for the actors much though they do a solid job (Jude Law was a standout though, and wtf even Gore Vidal is in there). There are scenes of quiet poignancy which I won't forget e.g. the night swimming challenge, the eventual fates of the "real" and "fake" Jeromes. The storyline -- or rather, the spirit of it -- is what got me liking it.
