gator.com installing itself without asking? GRRRRR

Anyone had this problem? I never even heard of Gator.com until it installs itself while I am playing Counter Strike, in the middle it pops up like an add.... GRRRRRRR I thought it was only me who got this but i have talk to others about it.. i am not alone... does it happen to you? Someone could sue over this, never anywhere should software install itself without your permission.

Yeah, Gator.com is annoying as hell, I had it pop up one day, and so I was like "what the hell" and then I went to uninstall it, all seemed to go well, but when I reboot I still ahve the gator file on my HD, and a few days later it had reinstalled itself, I think I have gotten rid of it for sure now, but yeah, we should all really do something about this.

you described it VERY well. I feel like flaming the site, but what good will that do... I seriously want to take action because that is a violation of my computer.. its no different than a hacker hacking into my computer. Gator.COM can do major harm, you could be working on a project hours of work into it.. gator pops up gives you a GPF and it locks your system.. all that work gone since your last save... DAMN GATOR.COM! BURN IN HELL YOU BITCH PROGRAM AND COMPANY.

WHat is it? I often play Counter-strike and never had anything pop-up. Funny that you bring it up though because yesterday when I was clearing my registry of old ATI drivers, I found some Gator.com thing in there and removed it. Well I guess I had it but I never seen it...
