Do you guys frown on a person trying to get Amazon prime through a shared account? I was thinking of starting a thread.

The way I've done it is someone buys prime, then divides the price by 5 and invites those who send gift cards in the divided amount.

Do you guys frown on that?

This is unethical and against Amazon's rules!!!!!!

Prime members under a free trial or paid subscription can share their shipping benefits with up to 4 additional family members living in the same household, or up to 4 coworkers to shop for the related account.

It's not against Amazon rules, co-workers have different addresses and certrainly dont live at the same adderss. There is nothing on Amazon's website defining that you cannot share the account with other's.

Who is to say my fellow Anandtecher's are not my co-workers.
